VOLCANOES

In 1974, during a visit to his friend Denis Sloan in Sceautres, GRATALOUP made numerous drawings of the neck of Sceautres, a basaltic rock overlooking the village resulting from a volcanic eruption dating from eight million years.

It is from this drawing that he will realize the series of volcanoes which today remain few canvases and few visuals.
