The GRATALOUP Home and Studio — Chevreuse

In Chevreuse, the GRATALOUP Home and Sttudio is where the artist lived and worked for more than thirty years. He created a major part of his work there, surrounded by his paintings, drawings, matrices, models and working documents.

Today, the Home and Studio houses a significant part of GRATALOUP’s work as well as his archives. It serves as the centre for the preservation, documentation and management of his work.

Milena Cheynet de Beaupré, GRATALOUP’s wife and the artist’s rights holder, oversees its preservation and continues the inventory and documentation work required for the catalogue raisonné.

A private place, the Home and Studio is not open to the public. It nevertheless remains an essential centre for the study, preservation and transmission of GRATALOUP’s work.
