The GRATALOUP Home and Studio — Chevreuse
In Chevreuse, the GRATALOUP Home and Studio is where the artist lived and worked for more than thirty years.
This private site now houses a significant part of his body of work, along with his archives, and serves as the centre for the conservation, documentation, and management of GRATALOUP’s work.
The GRATALOUP Art Space — Nantua
In Nantua, GRATALOUP’s birthplace, the Espace GRATALOUP was created around the monumental mosaic The Spirit of the Lake (2015), the artist’s final work of public art.
Open since December 2025 within the Haut-Bugey Tourist Office, the space reflects GRATALOUP’s deep connection with his birthplace and offers visitors an insight into his life and artistic world.
The Espace GRATALOUP in Nantua is separate from the Musée GRATALOUP in Chevreuse. It is neither a transfer nor a relocation of the museum.
Musée GRATALOUP — Chevreuse
From 2022 to 2026, the Musée GRATALOUP was housed in the Saint-Saturnin Priory, in the historic heart of the Chevreuse Valley.
Over five years, its exhibitions explored GRATALOUP’s work through a variety of themes, in dialogue with invited contemporary artists.
Exhibition designs, podcasts, videos, sound creations, and sound-and-light installations accompanied the artworks, offering visitors different ways to experience them.
The Musée GRATALOUP will remain open to the public until 11 November 2026. It will not be transferred to another location.
