Taking up again the theme of the sea which is dear to him, the artist will realize a series of canvases of large formats titled "Staircase of the sea".

The staircase, like the ladder, is an omnipresent symbolic figure in his canvases. It evokes the ascent, from march to march. On his path of evolution, each individual moves forward, without really knowing what path he is on and what path he has to take.

As a symbolic figure, the artist will cover the golden staircase on most of the paintings in the series, underlining its universal scope.

"The stairs make us rise. On the sea everything sinks. Despite this, we walked on the water ... The staircase allows you to climb to the fascinating unknown."
