In the autumn of 1987, GRATALOUP participated in a major group exhibition at the Musée de l’Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris, housed in the historic Hôtel de Miramion on the banks of the Seine. Bringing together a remarkable selection of contemporary artists, the exhibition reflected the museum’s desire to create a dialogue between artistic creation and one of Paris’s most important cultural institutions.

Presented in the heart of the French capital, the exhibition featured works by a number of internationally recognized artists, including César, one of the leading figures of Nouveau Réalisme, and Erro, whose narrative and politically engaged paintings had already earned him international acclaim. Alongside them, GRATALOUP exhibited with artists such as Di Teana, Télémaque, Debré, Nadaud, Milhaud, Eterovic, Casadesus, Jaccard, Blondel, Pascarel, Rougemont, Batbedat, Carré, Rivière and Poli.

At this stage of his career, GRATALOUP was developing a highly personal artistic language centered on mythology, nature, symbolic structures, and the relationship between humanity and the universe. His participation in this exhibition placed his work within a broader panorama of contemporary artistic practices while highlighting the originality of his approach.
