TRANTER-SINNI GALLERY & MORDOCH GALLERY - MIAMI - FLORIDA

January 10, 2018 – May 25, 2019

Mordoch Gallery 555 NW 28th Street Miami, FL 33127

In 2018, GRATALOUP’s work was presented for the first time in a series of group exhibitions in Miami, one of the world's leading centers for contemporary art and the international art market. These exhibitions marked an important step in the artist’s growing visibility in the United States.

Invited by the Tranter-Sinni Gallery, located within Miami’s vibrant contemporary art scene, GRATALOUP participated in a collective exhibition bringing together artists from diverse cultural and artistic backgrounds. This presentation introduced American audiences to a body of work that had been developed over several decades in Europe, rooted in a continuous dialogue between matter, symbolism, and spirituality.

The works exhibited in Miami reflected the distinctive qualities of GRATALOUP’s artistic language. Through the use of mixed media, metals, sand, pigments, and textured surfaces, the artist creates visual worlds where memory, nature, energy, and the cosmos converge. Rejecting traditional distinctions between abstraction and representation, he developed a highly personal approach that explores the invisible connections between humanity and the universe.

Following its presentation at the Tranter-Sinni Gallery, GRATALOUP’s work was also included in a group exhibition at the Mordoch Gallery, further extending its visibility among American collectors, art professionals, and contemporary art enthusiasts. Together, these exhibitions provided an opportunity to introduce his work to a broader international audience and to strengthen his presence within the American art scene.

These presentations took place during a period in which Miami had established itself as a major crossroads of contemporary art, fueled by the growth of the Wynwood Arts District and the international influence of Art Basel Miami Beach. Within this dynamic environment, GRATALOUP’s work found a natural place, engaging viewers through its combination of material experimentation, symbolic depth, and universal themes.

The Miami exhibitions therefore represent an important chapter in the artist’s international career, reflecting the continued expansion of his audience and the growing recognition of a body of work that transcends cultural boundaries while remaining deeply rooted in a personal and poetic vision of the world.
