1982 - Eglise Saint-Jean Baptiste, 8 montée Saint-Jean - Ajaccio
The facade of the church is made of ceramic, in a blue monochrome with, as a design, a variation of the Japanese tree of the garden of Montvinot.
The expansion, at scale 1, was carried out in a large room where the artist taught at the E.N.S in Cachan.
It was in Corsica that I met Father Cesari and then the Bishop, in charge of the diocese. A cubic church had just ended and the priest was a friend of the Arts. With the approval of the Bishop, I was kindly given the order for the facade of the church as well as that of the stained glass windows. I also made a tapestry woven in Aubusson on the theme of «Awakening of the Plant», starting from what was growing in the maquis of the region.
What was done included a perfect set of applied arts (ceramic, mosaic, stained glass, tapestry).
I then painted a «Way of the Cross» in the same spirit that I had already done in 1975, but in smaller dimensions.
