2007 - 2016 HIGH SEA

The sea is both the origin of humanity and its continuity. It is a universal source of inspiration for artists and those who are not.

In 2006, it was after his stay at the edge of the ocean, in front of the sumptuous sunsets on this liquid immensity, that he undertook a series of very large formats, High Seas.

The canvases are mainly composed of diptychs. The lower part represents the movements of the waves on the sea, is worked with sand and acrylic; the upper part represents mainly starry skies, illuminated by rays of light.

This series includes many canvases, many of which today are found in large private collections.

'I called this series 'High Seas'. They are almost always large diptychs. Below the telluric and liquid world, a complementary antagonism. The top, I would even say the highest, recalls cosmic space and our reality in relation to immensity. The tangible, however, is this arc of luminous alliance that marks the entire canvas with its presence."
