In 2000, this mosaic will be covered and partially hidden by the construction of a building backed by the facade of the university. It is therefore no longer visible to this day in its entirety.

"A mosaic placed on the gable of the central building where we see that it is a «Awakening of the Mineral», reign of base in nature, foundation on which everything rests. The graphic is derived from many drawings
carried out on various formats, studies on nature in front of the rocks of Belle-Île at sea. These drawings were enlarged in the workshop and redesigned according to the model and for the planned location. Chromatism is that of Novalis when he says, “Colour is an effort of matter to light and vice versa…”. The chromatic movements end in the form of successive «V», the plastic principle of the ascendancy symbol. Part of an obscure immobility in the blacks and the lands, the telluric matter gradually sets in motion and projects practically all the colors of the prism in the scale of the luminous values, to arrive to merge, in the top of the model, with the vegetable kingdom."
