Continuing his spiritual quest, GRATALOUP will carry out a series of biblical inspiration entitled "Genesis".

The canvases, all of large format, present a mountain graphic worked in thickness with sand, declined through many versions.

The artist will integrate, at the bottom of each canvas, a band of stainless steel allowing the spectator, as in the series of "Women Flowers", to integrate himself in the landscape through his reflected image.

"The Bible is also the mountain, Mount Sinai or Mount Horeb. Where everything happened: God, the prophets, the words, the messages, the tables of the law, the burning bush… and the multitude of the people who follow God. Later, the disciples of Jesus will find the mountain with Moses and Elijah. The Transfiguration, the Ascension, the Assumption and the Sermon took place on the mountain. All human feelings can be satisfied with the presence of a mountainous background on which the scenes of Genesis unfold, repeated several times, with a resemblance to eternity and immortality."
