The sea and islands are a constant source of inspiration for GRATALOUP.

In 1989, he took up the drawings he made at Belle-Île-en-Mer in 1983 and created a series of very powerful works by the force of materials and colors, directly taken out of the tube or spread out in casts on the canvas.

This year will show a real evolution in his painting. From that date, the materials will be very present and denser.

This series will be exhibited at Galerie Bellecour (Lyon) the same year.
