2011 - 2012 OISEAUX AND EMPTY SPACES

After the Bushes, it is the Birds that will be the theme of inspiration of this new series, which will propose a new pictorial invention, that of a metal frame left "empty" between two canvases, sometimes pierced by a bird in flight.

This series is composed of triptychs or diptychs. The lower part of these offer landscapes of bushes, gardens or sea, enhanced with acrylic and/or sand. The middle part, for triptychs, consists of a metal frame left «empty». The upper part wants to be the sky in its infinity, represented by shades of colors or by the purity of gold.

"The bird needs air to fly. The sea needs air to move. The vegetation needs air to grow. We all need air to live. The painter paints air on a canvas. I no longer paint air on a canvas. I let the air penetrate the canvas in a real void. I place what wants to manifest there… I was very interested in this experience: two-dimensional space opens up to three-dimensional space. '
A whole story to pick up…"
